About Us

Construction Charitable Works (CCW) provide quality programs and support services for workers and their families in the building, construction and related industries in the ACT and surrounds. CCW supports individuals in need of assistance to achieve health and well-being within a whole-of-life perspective.

CCW is an initiative of the CFMEU ACT Branch and evolved from the Building Trade Group Drug and Alcohol Program. In 2008 CCW was established in recognition of the need for welfare support services that targeted construction industry workers and their families. Since this time, the organization has continued to develop to meet the needs of the construction industry and related industries.

Construction Charitable Works operate from a Person-Centred Framework, which centres around providing treatment that is suitable to the needs of each individual client. CCW practices from a holistic perspective, which means supporting with each concern a client may present with. CCW provides counselling, support services and referral services to workers and their families in the ACT and surrounds.
